That is the biggest problem. It has battery life from 2 years ago, which means barely getting through the day without even touching it.

Depending on the condition, you could get around C$180-C$220 for the iPod

 

And yes that is a good deal if you're set on the nexus 4.

How much money can you spend? LG G2 has amazing price for the specs at the moment, only drawback is no microsd slot. LG's Lollipop is way nicer than kitkat used to be and you can install custom roms. And it's the first phone with superb battery.

Nexus 5 is worth considering for sure. If you can live with only okay battery and camera. But I was picking a phone like a month ago and I got LG g2 myself because I really wanted that 2 day battery life. Did not even know that lg's lollipop was so nice in comparison. Nexus has the advantage of new Android but I think stock android is a little flat.

yeah, the g2 is not bad, but it is crazy expensive in canada and does not ship from the us unless i get it from a more expensive 3rd party. Id rather get a phone on contract at that price

Tough call between the N4 and MotoG right now. N4 is a touch more powerful, slightly better camera, much more 'premium' feeling, slightly better quality screen, and 16GB capacity. The MotoG(13) has a better battery by a country mile, can be found NEW for $150 or less, smaller for better pocketing/holding, and great build quality.

 

I have both within arms reach of me right now, the MotoG is the wife's, and she can run circles around my N4 when it comes to the battery, but I win in the speed game but not by as much as even I like to think. Those for me are the two main deciding factors. Both have a nice enough (by today's standard) 720p screen, though larger on the N4 obviously.

 

Right now, today, knowing how good the battery on the MotoG is, given both options I'd have to go with it over a used N4.

i have a nexus 4 and my battery is fine, even if it wasn't, you can pick up a battery from eBay for less than $20 shipped

 

the Nexus 4 is also a much better phone than the Moto G and stop giving people Amazon US links since you can tell from his post that he lives in canada. 

 

the Moto G is NOT $150 in Canada.

 

However I don't think the N4 should go for $150, should be less.

The MotoG(13[8GB]) is most definitely $150 or less in Canada, I sell them all the time at work.

2013 is the 'old' one, there is a 2014 aswell. 

 

I have the N4 and MotoG(13) right in front of me right now opening the same apps, and task switching around and general navigation tests. The Moto is very, very slightly a step behind, or just as fast as my N4 is. Running 5.1 on the N4, 5.0.2 on the Moto. I actually like the colour on the G more, N4 is much more washed out, viewing angles are damn near as good too. My battery is at 46% with a screen time of 46min, Moto is 60% with screen time of 1h 34m.

Old moto g has IPS screen that is comparable quality to nexus 4. And the battery life of nexus 4 is definitely not good in comparison.
