first off, why are you running a rage 128

lower the resolution?

if the card does not have enough memory, it can not go above a certain resolution. (IIRC 4mb card can not go over 1280x1024, 16mb can not go over 1600x1200)

there may be some software trickery but i am not aware of any.

pc specs: 4 function calculator / 8 digit lcd display / colored numeric and function buttons

I cant lower the resolution, because i cant see anything on the monitor.

Its a powermac g4 cube, so that is why i have the rage 128

I got a ATI 9000 pro to fix resolution problem, but it just barely did not fit in the cube

There are some USB display adapters you could probably use, but otherwise I think you're stuck.

Sig under construction.

So i wasted 25$ on a display, and 10$ on a graphics card that both didnt work.

That's why you do your homework before you buy.

I did, the guy said it was a 17 inch apple cinema display on craigslist, i get home, and relize it is actualy a 20 inch studio display, with a incompatable resolution

got any other monitors?

Yeah, it works fine over VGA, but i wanted to pick up an ADC monitor for it,

i was saying try going to VGA and then turning the res down, then plugging back in to ADC

Unfortunatly i cant fit both conectors in at once (really apple, space them out like 1cm more...)

but are you saying not at the same time?

I dont think that would work tho.
