I'm using a HDMI cable from my PC to my screen. (I use the HDMI cable for my Xbox one so I know it works fine)

My screen is a Goodmans 24" HD Ready digital LCD TV.

Now when I used a VGA cable on my old pc it was all fine but now I've had to move to hdmi and when my resolution is 1920x1080 I'm missing about an inch on all sides of the screen, and no other resolution works through changing it in my nvidia centre or on my desktop!! Help?!

there are modes within the tv. your resolution is fine but you need to change how it looks. it's been months since i did it so i can't remember but it has to do with aspect ratio or covering up the whole screen

There are only 2 modes in the tv and None of them seem to solve it :/

in the tv menu there should be some setting like auto adjust or something
