im runing Intel® Core™2 Quad Processor Q8200 (4M Cache, 2.33 GHz, 1333 MHz FSB) cpu and i only have 2GB 1333mhz of ram in it witch seems not to be enough for windows xp running server. how ever i have one 4GB 1600mhz ram but when i insert it buzzer beeps 3 times for 3 times. fans spin but no post on screen. i even tried hyper x 1600mhz 8gb stick but its the same beeps and no post. is there a way to get it running with 1600mhz ram?

When you inserted the extra RAM did you remove the other 2GB? Also, is the RAM you're inserting DDR2 or DDR3?

i tried sticking only 4GB (1600mhz) as well as leaving 2GB(1333) stick with 4GB stick and it beeps tree times for a few times and thats it no post. it is DDR3

Don't mix and match different speed RAM sticks. Every time that I have, I've gotten the same errors you are. Also, if you install 2GB into DIMM1 and 8GB into DIMM2, your computer will only recognize 4GB total. Make sure the 8GB is in DIMM1
