Dual Intel LAN

Go to solution Solved by Guest,

Dual NIC support on most boards isn't really ideal. You really want two NIC's running the same chipset which can then easily bet set for teaming. Teaming non identical NIC's, especially those from different manufacturers can be tricky and in some circumstances not work at all.

This is my second post on this motherboard : Asus X99-E WS (Sorry but I have a lot of questions on this motherboard before I spend $500 on it)

A lot of motherboards have dual ethernet ports. What does this actually do? Does it support Teaming and what can I get out of a standard internet connection?

its mostly for severs, like one port goes to a switch and the other goes to another server. yes, it should support those.
