Strix 970 idle temps

42 is fine. my card runs at 55-60 (fans turn on and off once it gets hot enough.) My card is OC and the voltage is around 1 i think.

I haven't touched the OC settings yet, currently on stock config.

im using the MSI 970 and it idles around 36-45c with fans off 

Was going to get the twin frozr one but Amazon halted sales temporarily, Im currently on 42 with fan off.

I guess everything seems fine then because I am using stock case fans so I was wondering if the card would be affected adversely.

my strix idles at 26-35 degrees depending on if I was playing a game and I shutdown the game and I'm letting it cool down

Are you using a custom fan curve?

Mines at 38C right now.

fans are off below 66. It's the stock fan curve

When it gets to 26C, what's the room temp?

no clue. The thermostat out in the hallway is at 22.1 degrees right now but I'm guessing my room is like 24-25

Srry I made a mistake my card usually idles from 30-35 not 26 I was thinking of something else.
