Hello,

I have been using the same GPU and have played the game for about 4 hours straight without the issue.

Can you check a few things?

1. Is your game patched to the latest version?

2. Do you have Nvidia's GTA V ready driver?

If it is system memory, then check you samsung SSD settings through "Magician" software. Set it to maximum performance. It fixed it for me.

RAM: HyperX Fury 1600MHZ CL10 2x4GB      Storage: Samsung 850 EVO(250GB) + WD Red(2TB)      PSU: Corsair RM750 (and no, it hasn't blown up!)

Blame Nvidia, like 90% of 970 owners have problems in GTA V.

Nice but doesn't "system memory" refer to RAM ?

Yes this game needs a page file to run properly. With Samsung magician if you set it to anything other than maximum performance it sets the page file to 1gb other than letting the OS handle it. Which causes it to crash with the out of memory error.

I had to do this also. Has yet to crash again. It is not a problem with the 970.

Probably not in this case then :) but amount of 970 complaints is huge.

I had to set my page file several times in the past. Its been behaving nicely in past several months thankfully.

Am I the only one who hasn't seen 970 vram complaints in GTA V? It isn't the worst memory hog tbh, but kinda unstable in terms of FPS. My friend who has an R9 290, has the exact same issues as me.

I haven't seen Vram complaints, I've seen "GTA V crashes" at least 20 times on this forum for 970 owners.

I think it's just to easy to blame the 970 to be the problem because of the whole vram fiasco. Before trying anything else they just blame their 970 because why not.

I have crashed ONCE for real, the rest was the system memory thing.

GTX 970's are very popular cards. A lot of people have them and so when people report issues it can seem like they have something to do with 970's, but in fact they don't.
