That cpu probably won't always bottleneck any current single GPU out there, however there are plenty of games that will throw lots of non-graphic related workloads at the cpu, and indirectly cause cpu bottlenecking for the graphic card. I've experienced massive cpu bottlenecking with a locked i5 and gtx 760 in crysis 2 (as an example), so anyone telling you that the i5 4440 will not bottleneck any graphic card at all is parroting what they think is true.

I have a i5-4440 and a R9 290 and battlefield 4, far cry 3, and titanfall all run at a steady 60fps with v sync
