I am after a enclosed portable USB msata 240-256gb SSD

I just want to make the best decision

Im considering the samsung t1 250gb

Im also looking at the crucial mx200 msata + an enclosure

1. Do enclosures like slow down the SSD in comparison to the premade samsung t1?

2. Which enclosure is best?

3. Id perfer the 16nm MLC over the TLC V NAND

4. Will most msata 3 max out USB anyway so I only need an average one?

I don't want to spend over 200 AUD (160 US) shipping included, id rather pay less.

What do you guys think?

Have you checked Corsair's 128GB/256GB SSD Thumbdrives? I've only heard good things about them - and the 'Survivor' has a pretty beefy enclosure.

it may be cheaper to use the HDD enclosure + SSD

the Samsung T1 still rely on USB 3.0 speeds

Budget? Uses? Currency? Location? Operating System? Peripherals? Monitor? Use PCPartPicker wherever possible.

I am after much faster than this, even corsairs GTX doesn't get close to the T1 and I would like a small USB cable just in case it breaks.

Then I feel buying a HDD enclosure and putting a normal SSD in would be your best bet.

I am after something that can fit it to my pocket so msata would be ideal.
