Hello everyone! I've recently decided that I want to upgrade my CPU, as it's not a very good one.

I would like suggestions on what to get next (if you tell me to get a CPU, please tell me what motherboard to get with it).

Also, if you have any other upgrade suggestions/recommendations, feel free to tell me. :D

Thanks! :)

Current Setup:

CPU: AMD Athlon X4 860K
Motherboard: Asrock FM2A58M-VG3+ R2.0
Memory: 16 GB
GPU: GeForce GTX 960
Case: Raidmax Cobra (Green)
PSU: EVGA 500 Watt Power Supply

well without knowing a budget i'll throw this out there, i have a hard time not recommending this motherboard since my experience with it has been so great and for a reasonable price. i tossed in the cooler since you didn't post if you have one or not. with this setup you should be able to overclock to 4.5 easily.

now for a cheaper option...

CPU: Intel Core i5-4590 3.3GHz Quad-Core Processor  ($178.99 @ SuperBiiz)

Motherboard: Asus H97-PLUS ATX LGA1150 Motherboard  ($99.98 @ NCIX US)

this one here has no overclocking capability but comes in about 80.00 cheaper than the 4690k and z97-a (minus the cost of the hyper 212 evo)

any of these upgrades would be good for your system and it really comes down to how much you can spend on them.
