laptop help asap

Ok so I was having trouble with installing an OS on a laptop, so I took the drive out and threw it into my desktop to install the OS. once completed and was able to boot to the desktop, I shut down my computer, took the drive out and threw it back into the laptop. Once put all back together I booted and it instantly went into the bios screen. I go to check boot order and there is nothing there for HDD, not even the thumb drive I had in would show. Does anyone have and ideas on what the problem could be.. The laptop is an ASUS Q301L

when you build the OS in your desktop

 

the OS takes your registry and driver of your desktop

 

not your laptop specs

 

that is why you get the BSOD

why did you take the hdd out of the laptop?...

Because for some reason, it was stuck on trying to repair it constantly, It would not boot from any device.

what was the problem with installing it on the laptop in the first place?

that would be a start but you mentioned the bios isn't recognizing any boot devices?

after the install it wasn't.

I wiped the drive, put it back into the laptop and still doesnt detect it. Not even the flash drive. just boots straight into bios

tell us exactly how you doing this...

well the way I wiped it was, put the HDD back into my desktop. booted the windows image, and formatted the partition.

I took this step and now things are booting 

1. Disable secure boot/fast boot - Save
2. Reboot BIOS
3. Enable CMS Boot - Drives are now bootable
