First Loop Parts. (About to purchase.)

Hey everyone!

I'm about to do my first loop. I wouldn't of been able to afford this in Canada, but I found an old buddy who can hook me up with parts.

I'm using PETG, with a soft tube drain.

Are all of these parts compatible?

I'm only doing a CPU loop, as I plan to upgrade the reservoir tube (~$16), and SLI 980's and add them to the loop 'soon'. Will also be upgrading monitors 'soon'.

if cooling just the CPU now, but in the future including the GPU(s), then i'd

opt for the 360 in the roof. this will allow tube routing needed before the GPU

upgrades. and you can use the XT360 (45mm) instead of the thinner PE.

Hmm... I was planning on adding a 360 in the front when I upgrade to SLI.

Ill change the PE to XFX right now though :)

You only seem to list 5 fittings? You need at least

res+pump = 2

rad = 2

CPU = 2

Minivalve = 2

More might be needed also but that's like the bare minimum.

My bad, but I thought I only need 1 for the drain because I will have the drain thingy at the end (First time, not 100%.)

Unless you're planning to mod the case, you can't do a 360mm in the front on a 750D. A 280mm you can, or a 240mm, but not a 360mm. In my 750D, I have a 360mm in the roof, along with a 240mm in the front and another 240mm on the bottom.

Wife's build: Amethyst - Ryzen 9 3900X, 32GB G.Skill Ripjaws V DDR4-3200, ASUS Prime X570-P, EVGA RTX 3080 FTW3 12GB, Corsair Obsidian 750D, Corsair RM1000 (yellow label)

My build: Mira - Ryzen 7 3700X, 32GB EVGA DDR4-3200, ASUS Prime X470-PRO, EVGA RTX 3070 XC3, beQuiet Dark Base 900, EVGA 1000 G6

In that case you're right. I forget people aren't using it for the same purpose I am

Save on the fans a little bit as spending over $60 on them is not really ideal for the temperatures you gain (1-2 in most cases <-- that pun though) Get another motherboard preferably Z97 as I've heard Z87 can be a little problematic with the i7 4790k and BIOS etc.

I honestly went with this on just for the aesthetics (Was planning on doing a nvidia green build.)

Oh well. Back to the chopping block .-.
