First Build Help?

I'm building my first computer and was wondering if I am doing everything right.

 

Here is my build:

 

intel core i5 4670k

Gigabyte gtx 760 2GB

COOLER MASTER seidon 240mm cpu cooler

Corsair Vengeance Pro 8GB(2 x 4GB)

MSI z87- G45 Mobo

Segate Barracuda 2TB 7200rpm

Asus  DVD Burner- OEM

SeaSonic G Series 550w psu

Windows 8 64 bit OEM

Corsair Carbide Series 300r(windowed)

 

I'm not looking to go spend an extreme amount of money here.

Also I'm buying this on newegg.com if that helps.

 

 

A little update:

I was wondering if it it is better to get a larger SSD for a boot drive/drivers/games or get a smaller SSD for boot/drivers and get 16GB of ram and dedicate 6GB to AMD RamDisk

That looks like a good overall build. Just 1 thing I would think of getting a smaller Hard Drive and getting an SSD. Other than that your good:)

Good build, I would change the 2TB to 500GB and 128GB/256GB SSD and I would go for Windows 7, Windows 8 is more for tablet or other touchscreens IMO ;)

2TB is a little high but 500GB is also a little small, 1TB should do fine,
