Hi guys, I’ve recently lost my mouse receiver :( and stubbled on what to do? [staring at my dead mouse] :S  I understand I have two buy a new mouse or another replacement receiver online........ to be honest I'd prefer to buy a new mouse. Since there are a lot of fish in the sea I’d like to buy something fresh and different.

So currently I have a Logitech m705 which I bought when I went back to my parents origin in malaysia, its been about 1½ since I bought it, still it working condition surviving a couple of nasty drops.

I’m preparing a new..ish pc so as I’m getting new components hopefull your verdict or thread will help me choose.

Based on the games I play, I’m an all-rounder personally. (MMO’S, FPS, STRATEGY etc) I care a lot about the build quality and I want to own something unique (tho I should do ma own research)

I got a couple factors I'd want it to have, such like; extra buttons (back & forth thumb buttons), nice ergonomics and the choice between using it in wireless or wired. I'm pretty darn sure I got an idea  but choice it hard <_< these are some of my options I’ve looked out for.

(hybrid mmo/fps -_-, o_0) ßthinking to myself “you serious bro”

Based on the brands that have very distinct options I’d opt from something from either

Razer - Mamba, Naga Hex, DeathAdder

Roccat- Kone pure

Corsair - M95,Raptor series

Logitech - G700s

Cyborg – rat series

please search if you can it you can't visualize what they look like

If you've read till this point thank you. Please write what mouse you have and your experience and feel free to write whatever you want. ^_^.

I look forward to reading your thread/s

I personally use a SteelSeries Sensei and I love it.

I would recommend either the Corsair M95 or a R.A.T. 7 mouse. The choice however is totally dependend on you. You would have to look at the size of you hands and on what sort of grip you wish to use on themouse

Here's my experience with some of the mice you're looking at:

If you like to palm grip your mouse I would suggest to stay away from Cyborg RAT-mice. I used mine for about a month before I gave it away.

I loved the Kone Pure. It's light and the texture feels really nice. However, I use a cloth mat (steelseries qck), and when I lift the mouse the mouse pointer jumps all over the place (returned it for another one, but the same thing happened again with the new one). I tried to change the lift distance etc, but it didn't help.

The Corsair M90 was pretty good imo. Built like a tank, but the side buttons were a bit heavy for my taste. That's changed with the M95 so now it should be a darn good mouse (for games where you need the extra buttons).

The G700 was a decent mouse. I didn't get the same quality feeling that I got from the Corsair M90, but still a solid mouse none the less. The G700s is pretty much the same mouse as far as I've heard. Safe choise if you're looking for a wireless mouse.

The Razer Naga mice are pretty darn good if you ask me. It's a bit smaller than for instance the M95 but it's still quite comfy. The only thing I don't like about them is the glossy finish.

I think that the mamba or the g700s will give you the flexibility you are looking for.

I appreciate the post and I'm pretty sure that those two in my opinion are the best options I'd take

I can tell when I'm using the m705 I mainly palm grip it but my hands are somewhat larger soo I claw grip it during different situations.

Sounds like you have about the same size hands as me (i have the m705 too, and it's a tad small to be palmed).

I think you'll be pleased with both G700s or the Mamba. Both of them are sized to be palmed by medium sized hands. My personal favourite of the two is the G700(s) because I like the textured finish and the additional buttons are handy for MMOs and MOBA games.

True say. I was thinkings of once I purchase it, I am going to buy some materials extended the surface area of the mouse since my ring and pinkie finger will probably wrap around the side of the mouse. I really don't like the over-hang I have on the m705 >_> *NO I CAN'T TAKE THIS NO MORE*
