Two of my friends (whom are brothers, and live together) bought GTA 5. They have a pretty poor ISP, they get about 1MB/s download. So, it took one of them about 10 hours to download it.

 

I told them that it might be easier (faster at least) to actually copy the files from the PC of the downloaded game to the PC that needs to download.

 

Do you think they would be given quality speeds if they transferred the files across their network? The USB flash drive would work as well, but he only has a 32GB and the game is ~60GB, so it would take 2 trips.

plug the 2 computers via Ethernet (if you can) and you could always compress it. using rar 5 and max compression settings should get you around 32GB, hopefully, but you need a beast of a pc to do it.

you don't need a crossover cable

 

regular cable works

just in ipv4 settings

ip [put number a here]

gateway [put number b here]

 

 

other pc

 

ip  [put number b here]

Gateaway [put number a here]
