Hello, I have a non-modular power supply and a hard drive that I need to connect to power. Trouble is, all the Molex connectors on my power supply unit are being used. I know that I need an adapter/splitter but I don't know what it is called. It is a female molex connector coming from my HDD. Please help me out, I really don't want to screw this up. Pretty new to this.

Basically. On my power supply there are 4 male molex connectors coming out of it. All of them are being used but I need a fifth connector to power a 1TB HDD that I have. The female molex in the image is the type of connector it is.

I think what I need is a 1 female to 2 male Molex splitter, can anyone confirm that?

Hey Joegeddon,

I would try contacting the manufacturer of the PSU to double-check if it is safe to use more connectors than provided. Also they could guide you to some supported solutions. :) Otherwise, you can always use your storage drives externally via a SATA to USB cable, docking station or a simple external enclosure.

I just realised I got the connectors mixed up. The male Molex looks like a female Molex because it has the plastic cover around the pins. I was just being stupid, I know what I need now.

I will contact ArcticRed and look into it. Thanks for the advice anyway.
