Dead Island Riptide not launching

So I reinstalled my brothers laptop few days ago, installed DIR and it was running fine. Then I installed GTA IV and got error DD3D30. Then I was trying to solve this problem by reinstalling drivers, updating directx, netframework and visual C++ (2005,2008,2010). Since nothing of that worked I just switched to windowed mode and let him play like that but now DIR isn't launcing. Between I am using Black Box release with lan fix crack(V2) and what it does is it  show the dead island logo, switches to black screen and then switches back to desktop without even showing windows troubleshooting... What could have been changed? When I try to install directx 9 from microsoft homepage it says I have a newer version already installed. Could that be the problem?
