Is there any GPU on the market a Silver Stone 600W SFX can't run?

TNatty

I'm building in the NCase M1 and I am going back and forth between gpus but I know I want an sfx power supply. Is there any card that I would have to rule out because of the 600W or am I fine for any single GPU card?

The GTX TITAN Z and R9 295x2, the GTX 690, GTX 590, HD 7990 and HD 6990.

But they're all dual-GPU, and only two are still in production. Most any single-GPU card will be fine, maybe except for some of the extreme overclocking R9 290Xes like the Lightning or the Matrix Platinum but that would be while running an overclock in and of itself.

Like I said, they're all dual-GPU. I also edited my comment before you got to it, so yeah.

Would I still be good to OC the cards? The r9 290x recommends 750W psu minimum so I just want to make sure.

And even then. you could run dual GPU cards off a 600w psu.

that 750w rating is for unefficient PSUs. You could run a 290x off a 450w if you really wanted to.

Yeah, maybe the GPU itself, but you're hard-pressed to run a current high-end dual-GPU system off of a 600W unit. Maybe the HD 7990 due to it's 300W TDP or the MARS GTX 760 with it's (assumed) 340W TDP, but the R9 295x2 will leave only 100W for the rest of the system, which is definitely not enough.

No, the titan Z is rated for 375 W, in real world uses. it'll use even less. You can run a haswell i7 and a titan z off a 600w psu no problem. the r9 295 x2 has a 500w tdp, you'll use even less during real world uses, you could run a r9 295x2 and a core i7 4770S no problem. Now since the 295 x2 draws a bit more power than a titan z, you'll get close to that 600w during the random wattage jumps, but silverstone makes high quality units, it won't be a problem at all. But runninga PSU at 90% of its rating most of the time probably isn't a good idea. But there isn't any reason why you couldn't run it.

You're good for any single-GPU card.
