Alright, so I've been wanting to build something a bit odd for a while now, but normally my idea was to stick laptop parts into a pizza box. Once I decided that it might not be the best idea, I remembered that I had a briefcase sitting around the house somewhere. I looked for a bit and eventually found it sitting on top of a shelf. For some background: I have a "guest" PC that is comprised of old part that I've swapped out and parts from friends' computers that they gave me because they didn't have the room for them anymore. It was all sitting in an acrylic case which is cool, but I'm not much into that style anymore. So, the briefcase idea was created. So I ripped out the padding from inside the briefcase and began my mockup of the build (pics are included).

Specs: Random ASUS mobo

AMD Phenom II CPU (it was free)

Radeon 7970 (overkill for the CPU, I know)

            8GB RAM

Regular HDD (might get an SSD for it)

            Corsair TX750W PSU

So here's my plan: I'm going to stick a 7970 in this thing, no negotiation on that one. I'll be placing it in a wooden "box" that will have no top and only edges on the bottom; the fans will be facing upward. It will be plugged in via a PCIE riser cable. Also, I'm getting a screen for it that will go in the top of the case. I went out today and bought some sand paper and matte black paint, sanded the case and made sure all of the padding was out and painted the entire thing. Looks pretty good to me! Currently I'm waiting on a dremel tool to cut out the slots in the back, and also the monitor but I can use the PC without that for now.
