Breaking a Raid 0 OS array

Go to solution Solved by blu4,

Just use any cloning software. It will treat the RAID 0 as a normal drive and will let you easily close to the single SSD.

Hi All. Bit of a n00b question i'm betting.

I currently have my OS on a Raid 0 Array using the onboard raid (2x Samsung 840 EVO 120gb SSDs). What I want to do is move to a single 500gb SSD for the OS and re-purpose the 120gb jobbies to portable drives.

How do I do this without losing everything? I'm assuming there's an easy way by backing up to one of the HDDs and restoring to the new SSD once its installed, but google had way too much conflicting information for my liking.

System:

Asus Gryphon Z87

4770k

32gb DDR3 1600

GTX660 (Asus DCUII)

2x 2TB + 1x 4TB HDD

and the aforementioned 2x 120gb Samsung SSDs

Thanks in advance guys!
