Is it possible to have 2 modem in the same house using the same network?

Yes, though it typically requires a 2nd internet plan to be paid for.

Unless you meant routers, then that is still a yes.

Comcast lets you have as many modems as you want.

You are going to need a load balancer of some sort to be able to use both as active internet connections, other wise you will need to route traffic manually through each modem's private IP address, that is assuming you have a switch/router that supports this sort of config, otherwise you just need to tell the endpoint with modem to use as it's gateway (i.e. computers 1-5 use 192.168.1.1, computers 6-10 use 192.168.1.2 etc).

If you want to do the load balancing thing, first thing to do is get a CCENT, then a CCNA (etc), then to purchase a managed switch that will let you do this (you can substitute Cisco for juniper/other HW vendor if needed).

@SOUTHwarrior: Assuming he is on DSL... There is every reason to want this, next time it rains and you loose a line, your internet will still function at an acceptable level, ISP can take their time to replace the copper (just as long a they replace it before it rains again and takes line no.2 out).

Yes but why would you want to have 2 modems? I can understand redundancy but if comcast's service goes down both modems are down. You would be better off instead of paying for another modem and not increasing your speed to just buy faster speed.

because I have a modem on other side of the house and the wireless range is bad and I wanted to use Ethernet instead of wireless since it is more stable and faster and don't ask me to move my modem...

I think what you're after is a switch.......

Fools think they know everything, experts know they know nothing
