i just got a new pc (Budget Build) my specs are

MB = Msi 970A-G43

Cpu = Amd Fx-8350

Ram = Corsair Vengeance DDR3 1600MHZ 8gb

Gpu = Nvidia geforce 750 Ti 2G 128bit

Psu = RaidMax 850 80 gold plus

Yes i understand that my motherboard doesn't have vrm heat sinks and isent a good board i know that. And my board doesn't get hot but it gets slightly warm my cpu runs at 40 to 50 degrees Celsius with the stock fan it only reaches 100% at 55c and is very noisy i have alot of airflow in my case and i have tried ocing my cpu but just changing the mhz keeping the stock voltage i put it on 220mhz x20 which give me 4.4ghz and i did benchmarks the cpu is stable and on max load with the stock fan oced the cpu hits 60c i would like to know when i oc but keep the stock voltage will it increase the vrm temps i have had is oced running tests for 4 hours and everything looks fine i just want to know if i should be worried about MB temps other than that the system runs smoothly.

Thx

If your motherboard's CPU power delivery system overheats you should see the CPU lowering clockspeed to save itself (WHILE UNDER LOAD!) The CPU will lower clockspeed if it isn't under much load to save power, but if it throttles while under load you've got a problem

If you still can I'd recommend sending back your CPU and Motherboard and buying an i3 4160 for better performance, flexibility, and upgradability. It should cost about the same or less and perform better in gaming. The 8350 is a server CPU and isn't meant for gaming. Also: DAT 850w POWER SUPPLY! You have a 750i not dual titan X's

Im not doing much gaming on this pc and it runs bf4 medium ant 60fps oced to 4.4ghz but i will be running servers like minecraft , Rust, cs go, and a few others i know its not very good in singal core but overall im impresed of what it can do gonna buy bf hardline soon and test it out and yes it has been tested and it keeps its clock speed even if it isent under load so it should be fine

Even for gaming this cpu is impressive

Well for server hosting it will do pretty well :) Just watch your CPU clock speed under load. But again: DAT 850w POWER SUPPLY

Lol ok thx and my gpu is a Zotac nvidia geforce gtx 750 ti 2g 128 bit nothing fancy ill post some pic tomorrow

Thanks for your help

4x 34a 12v rails. HOLY CRAP! You could ACTUALLY have 2 Titan X's on that power supply easily. Well you have some... upgrade room with that power supply

LoL i dont think ill be getting a Titan X anytime soon.And do know any dual fan closed loop liquid cooler at a good price range in the future i want to upgrade my MB so i can get better Oc so i want a cooler for the future to

If you upgrade your MB you should also upgrade your CPU. An intel i5 or i7 would be great! Also I think the corsair h100igtx is really good

Uhh? No?

Its a budget consumer product. Literally noone would put anything FX into a server except when they are incompetent or amateur sys admins.

Literally the only server CPU's AMD has is the Opteron/Opteron-X/ARM-A series. (http://www.amd.com/en-us/products/server)

Depending if you're gonna play newer games that FX 8350 might still be able to serve you a good time but don't expect good performance in DX11 games.

AMD may not list them as server CPUs, but they were designed with servers in mind. Many weak threads are better for servers then games, they really are not designed for gaming

your right i got the fx-8350 because it has 8 cores and i don't need single core that much because i heavily multitask and i have ran a Minecraft server when it was Oced to 4.4 and it runs great even when i play while having the server.

No its not...

AMD simply did not have the technology and/or resources to make something with better IPC/Single core performance after the Phenom.

Their socket was doomed to fail in a weak/lots of cores way.

Not once was it ever thought of as a server CPU, its even really bad in that because it has too low IPC.

Except... it doesn't fail for it's intended purpose.. at all? They perform very well for multithreaded workloads compared to much more expensive CPUs of the same age. Yes they're old now, but they were good in their time. These definitely aren't meant for gaming, they have many weak cores which is not very good for gaming. Please, don't say these are "badly made gaming CPUs" because they just aren't gaming CPUs. You wouldn't take a street bike onto a mountain would you? Then why would you use a server/rendering CPU for gaming? These perform the best under server/productivity workloads, and that's what they were made for.

You act like these CPUs are completely bad for everything... You're wrong
