Anyone seen the new Total War: Warhammer announcement trailer?

As a fan of both franchises I seriously could not be more giddy right now!

Creative Assembly usually does an amazing job with the Total War games (some exception here due to Rome II)

 

What do you guys think about the game? Any fans of either Total War or Warhammer out there?

Do you think this would lead to a Total War: Warhammer 40,000? Think space faring campaign map perhaps?

Im really hoping they will make an epic game out of this amazing franchise that kinda got butchered over the years....

Personally i'm not a fan of that universe, i would have much rather seen a LOTR or 40k one  (although that trailer did look badass)

 

Will be checking it out no less!

A LOTR or WH 40K Total War game would just be balls to the wall amazing!

Can you imagine playing as Sauron?!

Diplomacy wouldn't even be an option! Instead they'd probably have to put a giant middle finger that you send an Uruk-Hai to deliver to whoever is ballsy enough to challenge your rule

I thought it was obvious they were making this before Attila came out. I don't think they will make the 40k universe because it does not really fit the Total War gameplay. The trailer looked good but I will have to see gameplay before I buy it.

Man missed opportunity having no 40K Total War, still lack a lot of space grand strategy, though they would have to completely rethink how battles would work so maybe not the best idea.

 

I'm excited, though unfortunately this is CA we're talking here, Rome II was a disaster, supposedly Atilla is better but IMO the series has been going downhill since Empire anyway.  Hope TW:Warhammer comes with a new engine, the Warscape engine needs to die...like now.
