Im having tons of crashing issues in GTA and want to know anyone elses issues with it. The game has become almost unplayable because it will crash every 30ish minutes. Anyone else having these issues? Im running it on all high except for textures set to normal and always get 60fps.

How is a crash per 30 min unplayable?

But which driver version (GPU) u got there?

Whatever the latest version is.

Every 30 minutes to me is annoying as hell because i dont save very often unless im done playing and if youre in the middle of a mission its a pain in the ass.

Does it just crash randomly or when doing specific things? I found out that my game crashed when I shoot from cars, hide against walls and after a specific mission. I fixed it after patching my game (yes, I am a pirate). And in the mission Blitz Play I couldn't use sticky or else it would crash.

I forgot to mention it is after the 3rd heist with the armored car but I found a workaround for that, but while switching characters, walking through doorways, and driving.

Cut the contents of your GTA 5 folder from My Documents (in the Rockstar folder) to your desktop, run the game until you get into the prologue. Exit, copy the GTA 5 folder that you just put on your desktop back into your My Documents < Rockstar folder, replace all files, viola. Do this whenever the crashing is too much.

Worked for me anyways, thanks to @Prastupok's finding.

A LOT of people are having a similar problem. Reset your graphic settings in game back to defaults and dont touch them until the game is properly optimized even if you think you really know whats best/what your doing. Just trust me. Also, remove any overclock you've applied on your GPU. This will make the game stable and stop any BSOD's. I and a lot of my friends and others on this forum have been experiencing the same thing and what I just suggested fixes 90% of cases. If it still persists, change DX11 to DX10 and continue to leave the settings alone at defaults.

I know its the LAST thing you probably want to do or hear, I thought I knew all that as well. But it turns out that because the game is not properly optimized changing any of the settings can drastically effect A LOT of things, even your connectivity for some reason and it even says that in the graphics settings menu.

Here's a posting from yesterday by someone experiencing a similar problem who we suggested the fix to. He liked my comment after some time so I'm assuming it worked for him. Lolzious was also experiencing the same issue and it also worked for him as well as myself and another friend.

Reset all your graphics settings in-game and in Nividia Geforce Experience, back to defaults. I'm assuming you have the game ready drivers so covering all bases that should fix your issue. It would also be good to, if you bought the game through steam, verify the intergrity of the games cache via Library>Right click on the game>Properties>Local Files.

I know its the last thing you want to hear trust me I'd LOVE to be able to set my settings to whatever I want (Default puts my textures on normal D':) but honestly I'd rather have a stable game to play/not crash right in the middle of a heist y'know? I'm pretty sure this will fix your and anyone else's issues with the game.
