Reset Restore Windows 8

I am trying to completely reset my pc. However, when I try to reset my pc, I get message that says 'unable to reset your pc. A required drive partition is missing'. I am really confused and was wondering if anyone knew how to fix this problem.

If this is windows 8, you could try holding down shift as you press reboot, which will boot up into some advanced settings (one of which is restore). try it without the OS running to see if it says the same thing...

If your system is not an pre-build system, then once you install Windows 8, you will need to setup the recovery image after.

Microsoft has instructions on how to do it, if you are interested.

If you did not do a recovery image, then you need to insert Windows 8 disk into your system (or us a USB flash drive with Windows 8 on it, and made bootable), then install Windows 8, which will give you the option to format the system drive, and install Windows freshly.
