Nothing to do with laptop

So I have this HP DV2000 laptop and I have nothing to do with it. I have had it for over 2 years I think. My dad used it, he is a truck driver and the laptop was on his trucks table (I dont know what its called) and sun burnt it. He knows nothing about computers. When he had it he had the mobo or CPU changed, I dont know why. I have used it for just installing programs to test them, Googling stuff when gaming. I have Windows XP, 7 and Ubuntu on it because I got bored and installed them. I also use it to store some games. Its broken and sometimes dosent even start properly.

Could I do something useful with it? Oh and the audio jacks dont work also. No drivers for Win 7. I used to take it to school to play some games when we didnt have nothing to do. I know I cant start folding with it.

I have tought about making it a WIFI hotspot but I wouldnt need it. I tought about taking the HDD out and making it an ext HDD but I would still like to use that laptop. That HDD temps are around 50-53 also. Battery lasts like 30-40mins. I also was thinking of fixing it up and using it for school in 2 years but I will buy a better one.

Leave any suggestion.

I'd keep it and try a NAS or just a laptop I can take with me for coding on the road.

I would try folding also but you don't want to do that.

 

Destroy it ? Have fun beating the crap out of it ?

Router extender , nas , HTPC (well ... i don't  know if it can handle 1080P ....) , Room decoration ( take it apart and mount the mobo on your wall with some brackets , can make for some cool decoration)

I think I will do that when school ends and I move to my aunts.

But I am thinking about that NAS idea. If I put it on one parition can I still use the laptop for some games and browsing the internet?
