go to umart where ever you are, they build the Pc's super cheap and are the cheapest (apart from sales). In my many years of deal with them they have never led me astay. That said however getting idea's on what you want is always good. there site umart, com.au even has a build in custom computer builder which it will quote you at the end.

umart is a fanstatic place to buy if you have one close. They will however reem you with postage so I tend to shop at pccasegear.com.au and mwave.com.au depending on prices when I cannot get over to a umart and want to shipped.

Edit: if you want to build your own pc all power to you, I do too just know its cheap to get them too also.

Yea I build about the same for 1450ish at Umart remember that is a lot of shipping in terms of cost... and then its just a trip to the store if anything is DOA with umart but you have to mail it with online... overall i think its worth going to umart but just my opinion should be easy to get a 970 and a i5 for 1500. that is just for the tower but.

---edit----

Here is what I would do.

Drop the cooler and use stock just for now. (upgrade to something like a nocuta later I LOVE THAT COOLER but the cool master is fine) Save 42. If you have a old computer drop the dvd drive and steal from the old one or if you know how to usb install windows drop it still (and of course don't needs cds for anything else)

After that I would also consider dropping the 1tb hard drive. In favor of upgrading to a higher captivity ssd like a 240/256 GB for windows giving you plenty of room and while you save up for something like a 2TB hard drive you will still have decent space for games etc while saving, then when you finally get it just whack it in and transfer the files over Keeping windows on your ssd.

Spend the extra money on a better case, why spend 85 on a cheap case (unless you don't care which is fine if its just going to sit under your desk and you never will look at it go nuts) when you can spend a bit more and have a case you really really love. I have a Fractal Define r5 and love it. Choose something you love and that has plenty of options for upgrading in the future.

Secondly consider waiting for the 300 series they might bring out something faster then the 970 that is cheaper or Nivida may drop prices (every dollar counts).

This is what I would go for personally if I was buying. The case is all taste as long as you make sure the graphics card will fit with it's big enough for future upgrades and it has the clearance for a CPU cooler as well as the ports you want. i would consider the Define R4 by Fractal designs as its a brilliant case still and only 139. I also added the DvD and cooler if you just wanted to go ahead with buying them at the same time. All prices are from umart.com.au

Then you will have to spend a lot more (about 80 bucks more) for a k series sku

For my build atleast for the other builds already have it

If you want an AiO you will have to sacrifice in other performance parts
