what fans should i buy?

ZecronClaw
Go to solution Solved by Daveeede,

right now i only have the front panel fan that comes with the case. ill be placing fans on every free spot.

1 on front (maybe raplace the fan that comes with the case, if so 2 fans)

2 on top

and 1 on the rear side.

so 4 total and 5 if i am going to change the fan that comes with the case

Well I just looked it up, and you can put 2x 140mm in the front, 2x 120mm on top and 1x 120 in rear exhaust. I'd maybe keep the one the case came with but just switch it to the rear exhaust. For the other fans, the Noctua ones mentioned above are great but they will be expensive and are not the prettiest. There are some other good choices though: Corsair, Bitfenix, Be Quiet!, Fractal Design all make some decent fans. The corsair ones are nice because they come in a variety of LED colors and sizes.

If you want to stick with the red LED look:

Put these on front intake https://azerty.nl/8-1088-726848/corsair-air-series-sp140-led.html

Put these on top exhaust https://azerty.nl/8-1088-645222/corsair-air-series-af120-led.html

And keep the one that came with your case as your rear exhaust

EDIT: You might want to also consider getting a fan controller or some fan splitter cables since I'm not sure how many fan control ports your motherboard has. I doubt you want them running at 100% speed all the time.

so i noticed my pc is getting a bit too hot (when i touch it) so im think im getting some new fans.

i dont know how much a decent one costs and how many i need.

my case is an corsair carbide series spec-01.

i have a budget if around €80,- and ill be buying everything here: https://azerty.nl/

i would like some more silent fans. dont need to be completly silent tho

Where are you going to be placing the fans? Usually companies offer high air flow fans and high static pressure fans. High air flow is good for open areas such as for rear or top exhausts. High static pressure is good for heatsinks/radiators aw well as intake if you have hard drive cages in the way.
