I would say that 1080p, 1440p at most, due to the fact that higher resolutions may impact FPS. I would only go higher if you know for a fact your GPU can keep up.

I am an mmo gamer,so I will be playing games like ESO,Guild Wars 2,Planetside 2,maybe some GTA 5.Will a single 970 be able to run them at 4k With decent fps?

I'm not a heavy gamer and have never had a 970 or the like, so I'm not entirely positive. However, when I do play, I prefer FPS over quality, so I PERSONALLY would go 1080p. You might be fine with 1440p or even 4K, but you would want to get an opinion form somebody who knows. Good luck!

I'd say the 970 is good enough for 1440p, if 60 fps is enough for you.

Maybe in some games you'll have to reduce a few settings, but you won't need that much anti-aliasing on a 1440p panel anyway, and in my opinion the higher resolution is absolutely worth it.

(I'm running most current games on ultra with a single 980 in 1440p resolution.)

I'd suggest going for a 1440p IPS/PLS panel.

You've put up a list of very different items. I'm not convinced in the 4K just as yet. I like to have my monitor be good for everything, not just best at one thing I do and not as expensive as my PC. This is an item that you don't change that often so I would always go for a company that has good warranty and reputation. If you are gaming from your desk 27 inches is probably the sweet spot.  So 1440p IPS probably a Dell (pixel perfect-3 years warranty and really good support). Even an older model would be fine (U2713 for example). And yes the ergonomics of a good monitor stand are soooo good.

I will definately go SLI later on,is 4k not worth it even then? Considering i wont be playing the most demanding games,it should run well.
