If you are going to be doing live streaming/ recording I would get that amd rig, but if not I would save up for a i5 4XXX K or wait till next year and see what amd will put out.

Honestly I just want to try AMD for this build, hopefully my siblings could learn to render and use CAD on that PC. I was actually aiming for the Intel Pentium G3258 but figured that more cores is more future proof vs two cores. Its not a personal rig so I don't want to spend too much they're gonna come from a Pentium IV pc.

Thats a waste of money. Just upgrade your current rig.

 

I already have a GTX 970 G1, Samsung 850 Evo On the way so there's really nothing to upgrade I'm already ok with the 4440.
