Which is better? DUAL

Go to solution Solved by CoolaxGaming,

Crossfire scaling is usually better.

Thats why a 290x CFX comes real close/matches to a 980 sli.

And a 290x has all the vramz

Power output is not a problem I can always get a higher PSU. I want to know if SLI or Crossfire is better. The cards would be the 970 or the 290x. I just want to know what is better at it's job whether it be SLI or Crossfire, nothing else off the side of this matters.

Dude they do the exact same thing, how is this a question?

The thing is I have heard SLI is better optimized than Crossfire.

Since you already have a 970, just get another

What resolution are we talking? The 970s would win in 1440p or lower, and 290x's in 4k

That is my planned build. It will be 2 1080p upgraded to 3 1080p.

So Crossfire is better than SLI and it would be more beneficial for 2 290x for 3 1080p?

A dual 290x will also be better because of all the vram

What if I just went with one card? The 290x or 970? I'm in the deciding stage of if I want a second GPU or not.
