So I'm putting together a new gaming (and possibly productivity in the future) build and wanted to get some opinions on the parts.

I don't really have a budget just a general "within reason" mentality but if you need a number let's just say 5k AUD.

You can see the new 1440p monitor on there so my main question with this is whether i should go with sli or not.

I want the gaming experience to be as smooth as possible at the highest settings possible but i'm just not sure if i need sli after reading some benchmarks on this card.

That is why i chose the 850w psu just incase i do but that could be lowered depending on what i decide with the graphics.

Cheers.

I've never seen gsync before but from what people have said it runs smooth even at 45-60fps. I guess i won't really be able to tell until i get my eyes on it. I was thinking maybe just keep the 850w in there and go for one 980 to start and if it isn't what i want just throw in another 980?

Looks like the h110i isn't going to be back in stock for a while with the recall. I was looking at the Kraken X61 as an alternative but alot of people have reported grinding or noisy pumps. This seems to be an issue with fan control on the motherboard not feeding enough voltage to it. Has anyone had any experience with this?

Corsair h110i is back in stock and it was only issue involving the pumps at freezing temperatures. They addressed it and back in stock :)

There was nothing "within reason" about that first spec, it was outrageously expensive. If you want a 2nd 970, grab one of these short form factor ones http://au.pcpartpicker.com/part/gigabyte-video-card-gvn970ixoc4gd

Also if you can find that Acer monitor which hasn't got the price attached to it, then you should get that instead. Almost identical specs to the ROG Swift, but IPS instead of TN. Very sexy. If not, then I suppose the Swift will have to do.
