I have a maelstrom 120k watercooling all in 1 cpu water cooling pump and it works fine but when the computer sleeps/ screen

turns black, the cpu pump light is on but the temperatures are in the 90-100*c.

to get it working again I pull the 3 pin out and put it back in and it pushes water again.

the pump is plugged into cpu opt, if plugged into cpu fan it runs at full speed and makes a very high pitched noise.

You need to power the pump with a power source that never shuts off. I assume you have the pump plugged into the CPU fan header?

Aren't they supposed to shut off when the computer is put into sleep mode? Or are you saying that it won't turn on again after you wake it up?

Hmm, I think he's right. I think CPU cooler is disabled when PC is put to sleep, but when it's woken up it's on again.

its plugged into the CPU OPT fan header. it lowers it RPM when it is close to sleep/ low temps but when it comes back from sleep the light becomes brighter to indicate more RPM/heat but doesn't move any water and it reaches 90-100*c

Can you send us the screenshot? Is your pump cable connected properly?
