Hi,

Seems my PSU has been sucking in dust / carpet :(. I was playing dirt 3 and heard an electrical crackle sound coming from my tower, so loud it caused me to hit the cold shutdown button to attempt to save anything from exploding.

Investigating the sound source it looks like it was the PSU, I've now cleared its path to air and it *appears* to be fine. However, I fear that once an electrical component has gone through enough heat to cause noises like that it's no good inside.

Do I bite the bullet and replace it, I don't want it to suddenly go bang and take out the rest of my system.

already turned it on, works fine but as I say unsure about its internal state...

I am kinda surprised it let itself get hot enough to damage itself like this.
