why did you buy such ..outta spec ram?

The 1.5v spec is just to cover Intel's butt. It's been confirmed by Intel employees that 1.65v works just fine.

Ram is also not inherently any speed and anything higher than the motherboard's default (1333) is an oc. The 2400mhz is just an advertised-to-work oc. You can clock it up to just 1600 if you'd like.

Okay thanks so much I was worried I realized after that I made a mistake and at the time the 2400 was cheaper then the 1600 and I thought I double checked the ram on the board this is my first pc build
