LAN driver refuses to work?

Or at least it seems that way.

A friend of mine reinstalled windows. He has an Asrock H61 De/s3 motherboard.

We tried so many things, always installing the INF drivers first and then the Atheros lan driver.

Internet refuses to work, always a yellow triangle showing.

upgrade bios and set it to defaults

then try that fixed link I posted

Turned out in Services deep in the Windows control panel I changed the properties in something. I don't remember.

It was set to use the main account of the PC and I changed it to use all accounts. I was just experimenting.

Boom, works.
