Best game recording/streaming software?

Whorax

Hello all,

Wondering what you guys think is the best recording software. I hear Dxtory is a good one, but I'd like to get the opinions of you all for some ideas.

Also wanna know what you all think is the best streaming software. I hear OBS is about the best option for that, but again, I'd like to hear what you all have to say.

Thanks. :)

Dxtory is awesome due to the extensive support it has for games, especially older titles. I remember trying to record some Black & White with OBS and it just wouldn't do it. Dxtory did it without any problems at all. It also seems to have less of a performance impact than OBS (only my discovery, might be different for others).

However, I love OBS for being no-bullshit, plain easy and stable. I usually use OBS for 99% of things, but as said, compatibility is a bit off. I sometimes run Dxtory through OBS, though.

For most use-cases, OBS is just fine. Try them all and see which fits your needs and ease of use.

Thanks guys. Much appreciated!
