Building a streaming pc

acblevins

Hey everyone,

I am wanting to build a streaming PC to stream console gameplay, PS4 and Xbox One. I have no intentions on playing any games on my pc at all. I have been asking a lot of questions and doing a lot of research so I have a general idea on what im trying to achieve.

1. Budget & Location
It would be awesome to be around $500.00 but im finding that hard to reach with an intel setup. I am thinking about AMD setup to save on cost but I hear that intel will last longer. Some guidance here is greatly appreciated.

2. Aim
Streaming. Xsplit requires and i5 or i7 processor, or something equivalent, which they don't state what is equivalent. 8GB ram and and directx 10.1 or higher. Intel has integrated graphics so I don't need a gpu if I went with intel. Again trying to save money and achieve what I want also.

3. Monitors
Dual Monitors. One for Xsplit and the other for my game capture.

4. Peripherals
I already have a Blue Yeti Mic so I would only need a camera, keyboard, and monitors.

5. Why are you upgrading?
I don't like the setup for twitch that my consoles offer. I like video overlays etc..

$500 isn't going to get you dual monitors. That's $300 for half decent ones on its own.

This^^ and then a good webcam like the Logitech c920 is another $70 or so but just for streaming you can get a mouse and keyboard combo for $30 so with your budget you have about $100 left.

1.300 would be a fitting budget i say for good quality and all things included.

This setup will stream perfectly. It's cheap af and will probably break within a couple years, but it WILL stream perfectly. BTW with this GPU you'll probably need a splitter for VGA or DVI. I don't know really.

probably the cheapest intel build for what you want

i have no idea about webcams so i left that out

if hes gonna be streaming..he probably wants a nvidia card that supports nvenc so that it takes the pressure off his cpu

Is this full a full price i5? I have found Microcenter.com to be the cheapest for intel processors i5 4690k for 200.00. plus get an extra 40.00 dolars off a comparable motherboard plus additional mail in rebates. so for a mother board with a z97 chipset ranges for 40.00 to 130.00 and up.all depending on what you need. this is where im stuck.
