USB port stopped working

Hi there,

 

I have a problem with 1 of my USB port. Since I reinstalled win7 on my computer he doesn't work anymore. He does give power, but whenever i plug in my external hard drive, windows won't find it. When i plug in my power cable for the Iphone, my Iphone does charge, but whenever I try to copy photo's or want to make a backup, my PC says the Iphone was recently plugged out (which isn't ofcourse). I have tested all my other USB ports and they work fine, it's just this one. 

 

External hard drive: ST2000DM 001-1CH164 STAT Disk Device (seagate)
Motherboard: FM2-A75MA-P33
CPU: AMD Athlon X4 760K Quad Core Processor
GPU: AMD Radeon R9 200 series

is the port a USB 3.0 port or a 2.0?

 

you sure you installed all the USB controllers?

 

some of the ports may be controlled by another controller instead of the chipset

The USB port is a 2.0, and I will check later if I installed all the controllers. Thank you for responding to my question!
