Discreet, cheap, high quality microphone

I am looking for a microphone that barely takes up any space on a desk, and will be almost unnoticeable.  I don't want to pay a fortune, so nothing above 100 dollars.  If anyone has any recommendations, please tell me.

What is the microphone for

 

What about putting the mic on a mic stand or boom arm?

 

Lavelier?

headset mic?

Just like something I can set on my desk.  I don't want it to overwhelm my desk.
