Ok so seen as the audio on my mobo is flat out broken i have a external usb sound box (cheapo of amazon).

The thing is i want more bass from my speakers at lower volumes , its ok in windows media player because i just crank the equalizer up but i need and equalizer that does that for the whole system , such as VLC Youtube and so on.

Can anyone point me in the direction of one that will do the job?

Thank you!

EQ is one way, BUT rather than cranking up the bass frequency, crank down the rest of the spectrum. This will avoid distortion and possible clipping.

Golden rule of EQ: turn down the rest, not turning up what you want

Oh right cool i will give that a try , but is there a way to make it universal throughout all media players?

I like breakaway audio, because I'm a simple man and it works with external dac. If you want to be a real cheap ass, you can download it, then download a crack so it is free.
