Game Install Help

Im trying to install need for speed most wanted (the good 05 one) and it keeps coming up that i dont have direct x 9 or newer on my computer.
I have uninstalled direct x 11 and re installed that then uninstalled that and installed direct x 9 from the game disc and also the Microsoft website.

I have run out of ideas as to how to make it work.

Try going into properties for the launcher .exe and enabling compatibility mode - try for Windows XP first.

cheers dude, for some reason service pack 2 would work but not 3.

all good now, im getting pumped
