That is for users that have a key, for users that don't, follow the instructions above that. (Users with a key get in automatically)

I'm sorry but I'm not sure I see why this would be that useful. It’s great that you're trying to help the community and all but so far it seems like the browser you've created is just running on an old version of IE (correct me if I'm wrong but if you are building it in VS then I believe IE is like version 7/8.) which may work for LTT.com but if you click a link or just go outside the website for some reason you may run into compatibility issues since IE 7/8 is old and doesn't support all the latest technologies. But again, correct me if I'm wrong, Microsoft may have updated to a later version of IE in VS.

 

But also, the program is basically just filled with bookmarks to places LTT people probably want to go, so that's nice but still not impossible to accomplish very easily in Firefox, Chrome, Opera etc, with normal bookmarks.

 

The LTT Notifier is nice but isn't that available for Firefox and Chrome as a plugin? (Again, I'm not sure about this one either since I'm not personally using it but I think there is one)

 

The overclocking, as you said, had nothing to do with the program itself but was just a link to a program which could overclock.

 

Monitoring could be something you could implement but again, this is something we have tons of programs already doing.

 

 

 

I think it's great that you are doing something for the community and don't stop doing it because of this, but maybe consider first of all to not use the IE engine. That would be my first priority since (if it is using an old version) it will be a problem to use it and might even be bad due to safety reasons. So try using the gecko engine from Mozilla or Chrome's engine so that it will be more reliable. That is my suggestion.

 

Also, maybe these features are already on there and you just haven't mentioned it, but I would suggest adding common browser functionalities like bookmarking and editing the homepage, basic things like that.

 

If you do that, then I believe it could turn out great. But if you are using an unsafe engine and the browser is extremely locked down (you can only do what you've programmed it to and not add your own bookmarks for example) then I wouldn't really recommend anyone to use it for safety reasons and because it would be better over any other browser. Also, when you are releasing it publicly, at least I would want it to be open source before I run it on my computer to ensure everything is in order (even though I don't think you would do anything bad with it, but just to be safe. My anti virus always gives false positives from programs developed in VS without licensing and stuff).

 

 

So please, don't take this the wrong way. This is just my first impression of what it looks like right now and if I wrong about something please do tell me since I do think what you are doing is great but in my personal opinion needs improvement (and as you said, it's in V0.2, there is still a long way until V1.0. But again, what I would recommend is a new browser engine, basic browser functionality like private bookmarks and personally but not a necessity open sourced when you release it).

Great, if you will be able to get another engine than IE that is more up to date I would definitely like to try it when you make it available publicly

Even if it does still use ie, you could just not use the browser part of the app and use the main part.

Lots of "Process.Start( )" that launch tools like afterburner (which btw you can't redistribute legally, and if someone doesn't have it installed one of the core functions of app is useless)

Just turn it into a LTT notifier, if well done that could be awesome, but the rest is just useless at least to me.

But someone might not like just a LTT notifier. You can turn a lot of the functions off as well

You could have it in a try and catch, if the process.start fails the catch will catch the error and you could have it link to where to download for example afterburner in the catch. So:

I personally don't care too much about the browser part but if you would create something like this:

Sure, I could give it a try. But what do you think of the mozilla thunderbird inspired notifier? That would I personally think could be awesome and I would probably use it everyday!
