Hi. So I installed a new motherboard and ram. I turned my computer on and logged in to my account. I did one final check to make sure that I had backed everything up I wanted to. I then proceeded to reboot but this time I booted with m my windows CD. I want to do a fresh install of windows for various reasons including the new chipset. I clicked on the reset pc option and it said that it could not find a partition and that I could not reset. I then clicked the auto fix or something along those lines. It went through a few screens and looked like everything was good. When I tried to reset again I got the same error.

I then tried to go back to my windows desktop to manage my partitions. I turned the pc on but instead of booting to windows like it had done ten minutes prior, it gave me an error: "Reboot and Select proper Boot device or Insert Boot Media in selected Boot Device and press a key."

I have tried booting to both my hard drives (each has an os). My ssd and main os don't work at all... I click on that option and it comes back with the same error message. If I try to boot to my 1tb WD drive, it gets stuck on the bios loading screen. I have also tried booting to windows boot manager and that is also getting stuck loading on the bios screen. None of the troubleshooting options or fixes within the windows 8 boot CD work.

Please help, no clue what to do here and I'm really frustrated. Thanks!

Ok so if the hard drives worked before that sounds like either it could be some of your new products (maybe) or more importantly when you did change things up you accedentaly maybe bumped something you shouldnt have...

Personally I know this sounds like crap but i would try going back to your old motherboard just to make sure it is or isnt your motherbaord. I know this might and probebly will take a while but this way you can be for sure.

PS: im not the best techy, theses are just consiterations

Best of luck :)

The hard drives worked with this new board once today though :/. The only changes I made were ram speed from 1333 to 1600 but I've since reset that to default. And the other change was trying that windows auto repair. Other than that there's nothing indid
