Installing games on different windows users!

Go to solution Solved by samcool55,

I have a separate HDD that it is installed on so will that make a difference of where the saved game files are or do i still need to copy them from the documents folder on my main ssd?

Saved file will always be somewhere in the documents of the user. The game itself can be anywhere you want it. So regardless of the game's location, the save needs to be copied.

So recently I purchased GTA 5 and it would not install on my main account that I created because of it's name (Rockstar said that if it had any weird characters than the game would not be able to be installed on that account) so I decided to make another user and gave it admin. But if this works will I be able to delete the second account without anything happening to the game files. Because the files should be installed to both users. Any help would be appreciated!

The game itself will be seperate from the user files.

Games are installed in the program files folder, with all the other pc programs, games etc etc.

BUT, saves don't! Saves do get saved somewhere in the user documents.

So, if you delete the second account, the game will still be there, but  not your save. So copy that one first.

The location of the save is this one: C:\Users\username\Documents\Rockstar Games\GTA V

Username is of course the name of the user u choose :D If your windows isn't in english, it's of course your language equivalent of it.
