So I got an issue detailed in this thread, and I think I got that solved, but after I did the CMD prompts detialed in my post I got a new error:

BOOTMGR is missing

So what do I do now? I've checked to see that the system is booting the right drive and everything...

Use a Windows 7 recovery disk, or just a normal windows 7 disk and choose to load the disk from your BIOS and in the recovery menu choose "Repair" or something like that.

If you found my post helpful make sure to press the "Like This" Button  ;)

I've done all of that, it's still showing me the same error

Boot from that and use the MBR tools under the DOS menu.

So I tried using Hirens's boot, and I can boot my system via one of the options presented to me, but how do I actually fix my MBR? what are the commands and arguments I need to input where in Hirens?

There are a series of commands that can be used in order to fix your problem. I would explain it myself but it may take me a while so I found a thread for you.

I have one question:

- Do you use only one hard drive? If not, disconnect them all and only connect the HDD you are trying to repair.

Use Partition Wizard CD and select the partition and then activate it. Or put in the Windows CD  and then into System Recovery Options and then open up the Command Prompt (you can try the install option first). Do the following:

c: (replace with whatever letter your drive is)cd bootbootrec /FixMbrbootrec /FixBootbootrec /RebuildBcd

(each one is a SEPARATE command)

Close Command Prompt, take out DVD/CD and then reboot. Is the issue gone? Did you get any errors?

Yeah these are both the first things that I tried, if you check my link to the other thread, you'll see I had another issue, I tried these exact commands and then I ended up with my current error.

Edit: My bios let's me select what drive or pretty much anything else I'd want to try to boot by just pressing that drive/stck/dvd etc. but my SSD won't boot, however when I use the Hiren's cd I can boot via an option to boot windows 7 from drive. This has led me to believe that there is an actual error with the BOOTMGR and it's not an issue of the computer trying to boot from the wrong drive.
