CAS, also known as CL or Latency. It's like the "delay" when the RAM is transmitting data to CPU.

im getting some new ram as im giving my old ram to my brother for a cheap gaming pc build and i went on amazon and found corsair vengance ram. for some reason the 2400mhz ram is on offer for only £56gbp for 8gb. it is out of stock but it would arrive in about 3 weeks or so. its cheaper than 2133mhz or 1866mhz. is this ram compatible with an asrock 970 fatality performnce motherboard?
