Will this surround setup work?

Shadow Bullet

I am planning to get a Titan X, and I am wondering if I am able to do a surround setup with a 1440p in the middle and 2x 1080p monitors on the side for surround gaming, and 1 1080p on the top (so a 3+1 configuration). So am I able to play games like this, and is this powerful enough? (Keep in mind the top 1080p monitor will be an auxiliary monitor for skype, web, and other non GPU intensive stuff)

Butts

That's 4k resolution on the 1440 (2k) + 2 * 1080 (1k) and there are tons of 4k benchmarks on the titan x out there. Look up some for the games you play.

The Titan X does support 4 displays at once, though I wouldn't expect awesome performance using all of them, obviously. Having a 1440P monitor sandwiched by 1080P monitors might look awkward but probably nothing you cannot get used to in time

Well the 2x 1080p and 1 1440p is actually EASIER to drive than a 4k display suprisingly, but do yu know if games will work with this resolution like will the game be able to spread out across all the displays?

doing so would make all 3 surround monitors run at 1080p

titan x does pretty well at that, as it is slightly less than 4k, and it can do 4k high in most games.

If i recall correctly it will work however it limits your middle monitor to 1080p therefor losing out on the benefit of 1440p

zlolslavez is probably right, and running a 1080P resolution will either widen the border of the 1440P screen or just make it look fuzzy in an upscaling kind of way

I will probably just get 4 of the same 1080p monitors then to avoid that. (So I will only be playing games on 3 of them)

No matter what you do, it will surely be badass
