i have a spare asrock extreme 4 motherboard which i have recently replaced and i was thinking that i could use it for a budget pc build for my brother. i was running an amd fx 8350 at stock 4ghz. can i overclock an fx 6300 to 4ghz on this board as im not sure as its a 4+1 design?

depends on the voltage he used but I don't think its a problem *dont quote me on that*

It should be fine, 4 GHz is mild and it's 2 less cores than your old 8350
