A5+ and M/M stack compatibility

Does the Magni and Modi works with A5+ or do I need the uber version of Magni? I have read something about the RCA outputs being needed.

One more thing, how does the AE D1 compares to the M/M stack?

You would need the Magni with pre-amp out. You could use an RCA Y-splitter, but it's hard to say how the Modi would handle the load of two sources.

The D1 is obviously just the same thing for cheaper. I doubt it is as powerful as the Magni, but I doubt you need that much power.

I have the A5+,and I'll be getting the magni/modi stack here pretty soon. You do need the uber version if you want to do it properly, as it's designed to go with powered speakers. (it talks about this in the product description on schiits product page.)

I think ill just save up for M/M. I've been looking around the internet and have found lots of people liking the M/M more than the D1. But damn, extra 50 bucks just for extra connections and since i live in canada, the shipping fee adds 30~50 bucks more.

At that point, it may be cheaper to pick one up off Amazon (I know they are available in the US through Amazon, but I don't know what kind of service you guys have there...)

Why do you need a headphone amplifier for a powered speaker?

Maybe because I have headphones too? :|
